COMPETITION FORMAT

THE RUN:
A running order for all riders will be first determined. The rider will begin his pass once he leaves the Starting Dock. The rider will complete one full round and will finish off his run at the kickers closest to the starting dock. Unlike previous competitions, there is only 1 pass in this format. Tricks can also be performed anywhere in the course. All riders must be in their bindings and ready to ride before the rider before him leaves the dock.

THE FORMAT:
Each competitor will only have 1 pass. Wakeboarders will be allowed 1 fall and wakeskaters are allowed 2 falls. Subsequent falls will end the rider’s run. If a rider falls anywhere along the course, another rope & handle will be sent over, and riders are expected to perform a water start from their point of fall to continue with his pass. A fall during a water start will be counted as a fall. Also, a rider’s pass will end if he falls after he has passed the final corner (the corner nearest to the start dock) even if he still has fall allowances. Riders will be judged on Obstacles (30%), Flat Tricks (30%) and Composition (40%).

Registration is now open. See above details.

I would like to highlight the format for ALL categories is a 1-pass format where tricks can be performed anywhere in the course with no limitations to the number of tricks. There are, however, trick type restrictions for each category.

If a rider falls anywhere in the course he is required to do a water start from the point of fall. Wakeboarders are allowed 1 fall, and wakeskaters are allowed 2 falls.

Also register by 31 May for the early-bird registration fee.

Also for the month of June, SKI360 is offering the following promotion:

BEGINNER TRY OUTS AND COURSE

1. Cable-Ski Tryout (Strictly for first-timer only)
Weekdays - $16 for 1 hour ski pass
Weekends - $21 for 1 hour ski pass

2. Cable Wakeboarding Beginner Course (strictly for beginners only)
(5 sessions of 2 hours)
Adult - $240
Children -$215
(below 12 years old)

Just wondering about the layout for the rail and dragon...
I dont think its possible to hit them both in one pass so perhaps it would be good to shift them both to be midway from 3rd pylon and funbox? More space for corner trick at 3rd pylon and also for run-up to funbox.

Hmm... Exciting! What's the novice trick list looking like? If it constitutes going around 3 times, maybe a small small olie.. i'd consider.. smile.gif else, i'll be there to watch and cheer!

You can throw an air trick after the 3rd pylon and still have enough time to comfortably set up for the dragon or slider... I've tried it already.

DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER BY THIS SUNDAY, 31 MAY TO ENJOY THE EARLY BIRD RATE!

Also just a clarification on some of the restrictions in Intermediate and Advance... the restrictions are 1 (intermediate) or 3 (advance) inverts or spins...

It means that you can still throw any number of tricks anywhere along the course, however, you can only put in 1 or 3 inverts/spins in your pass. Do note also that spins means 360 or more.... so if you do a 180 or a 270, those are not part of the restricted tricks, so feel free to throw 'em.

Balance out your pass, judges like to see a good mix of tricks. Big air and style plays a big part in your score as well. Also, spinning a 720 across the tabletop doesn't necessarily score higher than someone how does a steazy poked out 270 on, 270 off the tabletop. FYI.

If you have any questions... post it up here....

I second that, guys please be aware that spinning like top on the rails does not impress the judges, rail riding now is about control, style and presses. Think 270 ollie on to backslide tail press. blind 180's out. Nose press, things like that!

I was there in Singapore during the Championship. It was a very nice experience. I wish it will happen again next year.
